Quarry Rock Farm, conveniently located in Lessport off of Rt. 61, is offering a limited number of stalls for full board. We are a private facility, nestled up on the hill, with a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The barn hosts fifteen roomy stalls, a nice wide aisle with cross ties, a hedge row track around the inside parameter for hand walking, a tack room, hot and cold water, and wonderful turnout in our numerous grass pastures. We have six pastures ranging from individual turn out or two-horse turn out to our big field (approximately 7 acres) with a group of horses. While Quarry Rock does not have a sand ring, we have roped off a level section of a pasture to use as our ring. We have a full set of jumps and cavalettis which can be used to your convenience. Trail riding is a huge perk that comes along with this facility...it is only a short hack away to get to Lake Ontelaunee and Maiden Creek, both which have beautiful bridle paths winding along the side of the water.
Full Board Includes: One stall along with daily turn out, grain and hay twice daily, fresh water, stall cleaning. All of the horse's daily necessary needs will be met. Turn out is based on weather and season: horses will be in during rain, storms, inclimate weather, etc. In the winter: horses will be out when possibly during the day and in their stalls at night. In the summer: horses will be out as much as possibly, except when its excessively hot or buggy, or storming.
Type of Feed Fed: We currently feed Horseman's Edge High Fat Sweet Feed along with Orchard/Alfalfa mix or orchard/timothy mix hay. If any boarder's horse needs to be fed a different feed, we will provide it as long as it is of equal or lesser value of the grain we carry. Any supplements required must be supplied by the boarder.
